The NATO/ICAO spelling alphabet assigns distinctive code words such as Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Juliett to A-Z. This converter also maps digits to their English names and uses X-ray for X.
Encoding separates code words with spaces and original words with /; decoding is case-insensitive and rejects unknown words. The alphabet reduces spelling errors over voice links, but punctuation and non-Latin letters are unsupported and the conversion is not encryption.
